She drifts straight into the outstretched arms of young Pazu (James Van Der Beek), who was drawn to the mysterious light. In the ensuing gunfight, Sheeta climbs out a window, loses her grip and plummets. Things open with a bang, when Mama Dola (English voice by Cloris Leachman) and her air pirates attack a zeppelin carrying Sheeta (Anna Paquin), a girl who wears a mysterious crystal around her neck. American viewers may even find Castle in the Sky to be Miyazaki's most accessible work because of all his Studio Ghibli movies, it most closely follows a tried-and-true formula. Immediately after the first time my wife and I saw Hayao Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky, she turned to me and said, "He just doesn't make bad movies."
